Asking us to pick a favourite brand of dishwasher is like asking a parent to pick a favourite child. There is such a range of dishwashers to choose from here at DID and each brand comes with its own features. Here at DID Electrical, we are proud to stock a large section of Bosch, Whirlpool, and Hotpoint dishwashers and more, that come in at a range of prices. We have the perfect choice if you need an affordable and feature-packed dishwasher in a hurry.
Nothing lasts forever, so it would be foolish to assume that a dishwasher could. In saying that, most dishwashers will last between 10-12 years depending on how much care you take with them and how often they are used. However, here at DID, we do offer an extended warranty just in case.
The average price of a dishwasher can greatly depend on the size, brand, and suite of features that you are looking for. Here at DID, we stock dishwashers from both ends of the price scale, and on average you can expect to pay about €350-400. We do have a dishwasher buying guide here just in case you need a little extra push.
The two main styles of dishwashers are standard built-in dishwashers and freestanding dishwashers. There is also a variety of different sizes. The most common sizes are 60cm wide and a slimline option that is 45cm wide.
It is recommended that you use a specific dishwasher salt because using regular salt will leave traces of salt on your dishes. And who wants a salty cup of tea or bowl of cornflakes? Most dishwashers will require dishwasher salt, which is coarse and should be added to the specified salt compartment.
The best way to know what size dishwasher to buy is to measure the space that the dishwasher will fit and work from there. Most dishwashers will tend to be around the same size, but some will be wider than others. Similarly, if you are buying for a larger family, you will want to make sure that your new dishwasher has adequate storage space. That is why you should do your research before buying.
Most dishwashers in our collection are around 60-65cm wide and 80-90cm in height. It is important to account for these measurements before you commit to one purchase. You can also opt for a slimline dishwasher which is perfect fr compact spaces or small families.
There are a number of key features that most dishwashers should have in their arsenal. One such feature is some sort of flexible load or storage system, where you can store more dishes with less fuss. Secondly, a program for heavier pots, pans, and cutlers is key, after all, a dishwasher should be able to get rid of dirt from all dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans.
This depends on when you need your dishwasher. If you need a dishwasher and it is an emergency, then the month does not really matter. However, if you are looking to get the best deal possible, then we recommend that you buy a dishwasher in November or December. Why? Well in November we have our Black Friday sales, and throughout December we are gearing up for the Christmas season, and you are more than likely to find a quality dishwasher at a discounted price.
It depends on what part is broken. The best course of action is to get a quote on how much your washer would cost to get fixed, and then work from there. If the quote is too expensive, then it might be worth your while getting a new dishwasher. Shop our range of dishwashers here.
You can, but there are a couple of important steps that need to be followed and it is always best that a dishwasher is installed by someone that knows what they are doing, especially when connecting an appliance to the water mains. Here at DID, we have a handy installation service that takes the pain of installation off your hands. The perfect solution for anyone worried about installing a dishwasher themselves.
