Thanks to Sony's virtual surround technology, the soundbar can position sound in vertical space – so you can experience three-dimensional audio without the need for in-ceiling or up-firing speakers. As well as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, Vertical Surround Engine lends a more realistic, multi-dimensional sound to other formats too.
Surround made simple
Using front speakers only, Sony's unique digital sound field processing technology virtually reproduces the surround sound field, with audio coming at you from both sides. You can enjoy rich, cinematic surround sound without cluttering your living space.
New upmixer brings surround to stereo content
With Sony's newly developed upmixer, you can experience three-dimensional surround sound not only with surround sound format content, but also with stereo content, like streaming video or music services. Analysing the track in real time, our new algorithm extracts individual sound objects and reallocates them, giving you three-dimensional surround sound.
Advanced speaker technology
The powerful speakers include a dedicated centre speaker for clear dialogue and built-in dual subwoofer for punchy bass. They work together to deliver clear and wide-ranging sound throughout your room.
X-Balanced Speaker Unit
The built-in dual subwoofer and front speakers feature an X-Balanced Speaker design. The unique rectangular shape of these speakers maximises the diaphragm area for more punchy bass. It also reduces driver excursion while maintaining sound pressure, resulting in less distortion and greater vocal clarity.
Built-in subwoofer and duct for deep bass
The built-in subwoofers use an X-Balanced Speaker design to maximise the diaphragm size in the limited space, delivering powerful bass from a compact soundbar. The unique duct shape is the secret to delivering the deep bass normally associated with larger speakers - especially when listening at low volume.
Clear voice and precise sound image
Using a single speaker unit to reproduce a wide frequency range from bass to treble simultaneously can cause distortion and result in a muffled and unclear sound image. Our unique signal processing technology suppresses the distortion and secure clear dialogue and precise imaging.
Deeper bass sound at any volume level
When compact speakers reproduce low bass frequencies there's often a risk of distortion. To combat this, the HT-S2000 soundbar uses Sony's unique signal processing technology to deliver dynamic extended bass no matter how loud you listen.

When an original music source is compressed, it loses the high-frequency elements that give detail and richness to a track. Our Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) faithfully restores these to produce high-quality sound that's closer to the original recording.

Effortless control with BRAVIA
With an integrated User Interface (UI), the soundbar sound settings automatically appear on the BRAVIA Quick Settings menu for easy control of features, like Sound Field and volume [FN|Integrated UI] works with compatible models.
Soundbar position
If you have a BRAVIA with a multi-position stand, you can change the position of the TV stand and fit the HT-S2000 discreetly beneath the TV for a clean, elegant look.

Sustainability in mind
Sony's home audio products are designed not only for excellent sound experiences but also with the environment in mind. We are committed to using less virgin plastic in our products and packaging. The HT-S2000 uses specially developed recycled plastic in several parts of the product, to enable superb acoustic performance even as we reduce our ecological impact. Approximately 95 of the packaging is made from recycled paper and paper-based materials to minimise the use of virgin plastic.
Wireless Network(S) On/Off Switch:
Press and hold the (INPUT) button and (BLUETOOTH) button for 5 seconds to turn off the BLUETOOTH and Wireless LAN functions. "BT POWER" appears on the front panel display and then "OFF" appears. Press and hold the (INPUT) button and (BLUETOOTH) button again for 5 seconds to turn on the BLUETOOTH and Wireless LAN functions. "BT POWER" appears on the front panel display and then "ON" appears.
