Meet Siri AI - Your personal assistant
More personal. More powerful. Siri AI is your AI assistant that puts HomePod mini 2 at the centre of your home’s activities. From everyday tasks to controlling your smart home, it can tap into your personal context to get more done. It uses broad world knowledge for richer answers — all while protecting your privacy at every step.
Smart home - Your home at your command
HomePod mini acts as a smart home hub, making it easy to control your smart home accessories hands-free from anywhere.
Home app
When you set up HomePod mini, it’s automatically added to the Home app, and with just your voice you can instantly control any of your HomeKit devices, even while you’re away from home.
Apple Home Collection accessories
Easy-to-use accessories that are simple to set up and that provide a private Apple Home experience. Designed in collaboration with Apple and selected brands.
Smart home accessories
HomePod mini acts as a home hub, letting you control your HomeKit- and Matter‑enabled accessories remotely. Wherever you go, you can see a live view from the front door, shut your garage, and lock or unlock the house through the Home app.
Intercom
With HomePod mini and Apple Home devices in the house, you can communicate with your family members by voice using Intercom. Ask Siri to send your message to the whole house or to individual rooms — and everyone can easily respond.
Sound Recognition
HomePod mini listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. When an alarm is detected, a critical alert is sent directly to your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch.
Sensors
Built‑in sensors can monitor the temperature and humidity in any room. Check on conditions anytime or use the readings to power automations through the Home app.
Private and secure - A speaker that protects your right to privacy
HomePod mini is designed to keep your personal information safe and be a trusted assistant in your family’s everyday life.
Siri only listens for “Hey Siri” or “Siri” — so you can speak freely knowing nothing you say is sent out of your home until you activate Siri with a touch, or HomePod mini hears the magic words, “Hey Siri” or “Siri”.
When you ask Siri something, your request is associated with a random identifier, not your Apple Account.
With HomeKit Secure Video support, HomePod mini can analyse the feeds of your supported video cameras. All video processing is done on-device before it’s sent end‑to‑end encrypted to iCloud — so your recordings can only be seen by you and the people you share them with, not Apple.
HomePod mini works with your iPhone for requests like hearing your messages or notes, so they are completed on-device without revealing that information to Apple.
