Help raise funds for Temple Street Children's Hospital
Cycle4Life is a charity that has been set up by D.I.D Electrical. Our first major event will be held on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 in Dunboyne, Co. Meath.
We are looking to raise much needed funds to purchase vital equipment that will support the ICU department in Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, who rely on the generosity of people and companies to donate funds to fill the Hospital's walls with lifesaving equipment.
Each year, almost 133,000 sick children are cared for in Temple Street. The Accident and Emergency Department caters for almost 50,000 children annually, making it one of the busiest A&E facilities in Europe. Temple Street leads the way across a variety of medical specialties. It is the national centre responsible for screening newborn babies for metabolic and genetic disorders. It is also the national centre for neurological, eye, craniofacial, kidney, airways and ENT disorders in children. With the support of the D.I.D Electrical Cycle4Life Temple Street can continue to make miracles happen and help save & improve the lives of sick children across Ireland.
The Event
The event takes place on Saturday May 19th at 9am in Dunboyne, Co. Meath. There will be 3 routes, the first is a fun route, ideal for families and children covering about 10km. The second is the intermediate route that will cover 67km and the third is the advanced route and will cover 132km. Please note the minimum sponsorship requirement for entering the medium & long route is €79.99 and includes and exclusive event cycling jersey. The minimum sponsorship requirement for the family fun route is €9.99 per person or €29.99 for a family (up to 5 people, €9.99 for each member thereafter).

If you would like to raise money we are more than happy to assist you to orgainise your own event. This is ideal for those who cannot attend the event or for schools/ companies wishing to raise funds for this excellent cause.
